New building of Novi Sad Science Faculty in December

Over the course of December 2014, construction, adaptation and extension of building of the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad will be completed, providing professors and students with brand new 1.500 square metres of useful work space, including a reading room, two equipped IT classrooms, and 14 professor cabinets. Within the EU HETIP project, European Union have invested over one million euros into this particular institution of higher education.

Opinion poll: Stable majority supports Serbia’s EU membership bid

Majority of citizens supports Serbia’s membership in the European Union, in general, attitude towards the EU is a more positive one, whereas citizens’ awareness regarding the EU assistance to Serbia is on the rise, primarily because of better recognition of the assistance provided for May flood relief, showed the latest public opinion poll “Serbian citizens’ attitudes towards Serbia’s EU integration”.

EU flood relief weekly update

More than 200 micro and small businesses in 24 municipalities mostly affected by the floods were selected to receive support through income generating activities. In the next period, these entrepreneurs will receive construction material to reconstruct their facilities, as well as equipment and process material to restore the production.

European Union build 14 houses in Paracin

Head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport and Director of Government Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief Marko Blagojevic, visited the construction works in Paracin, carried out on houses of families whose homes were destroyed in May 2014 floods. Through EU Assistance for Flood Relief in Serbia Programme, the EU have allocated some 1.057.000 euros for the reconstruction and construction of a total of 57 damaged houses, reconstruction of two high schools and support to 660 agricultural producers.
