I was pleased to discuss today with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, the political developments in the country and the reforms Albania is undertaking, particularly after it was granted the status of the candidate country for the European Union last year.

Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, will be facilitating the next meeting of the high level dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Isa Mustafa in Brussels on Tuesday 21 April.
On 16 April, EU Info Centre and Novi Pazar public library “Dositej Obradović” organised a forum titled “Serbia in European Union – Get to Know EU”, which featured the presentation of EU Delegation and Info Centre’s project of support to this library, as well as the history and the mission of the EU and publications dealing with these topics displayed at the library.
On 16 April 2015, the OSCE and EU awarded certificates to twelve members of three Serbian CSOs (Belgrade Center for Human Rights, Humanitarian Law Center and YUCOM) for successfully completing a 23-day training curriculum on war crimes trials monitoring. The training was a key activity of the EU-funded project Support to monitoring of national war crimes trials, which the OSCE is implementing.

Commissioner Christos Stylianides responsible for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management will visit Belgrade on Thursday 16 April where he will participate in the ceremony for Serbia’s entry into the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

The EU award for investigative journalism aims at celebrating and promoting outstanding achievements of investigative journalists and improving the visibility of quality investigative journalism in the Western Balkans countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia) and Turkey.
