New EU rules for a new scheme of authorisations for vine plantings, allowing for a yearly limited expansion in the EU’s wine area, have been published by the European Commission today.

Today the Commission granted aid worth €66.5 million from the European Union Solidarity Fund to Bulgaria, Italy and Romania following three natural disasters in 2014.

On the occasion of International Roma Day, 8 April, exhibition “Yes, It’s Me”, representing the most famous Roma in the world, opened at Radio Kafe in Novi Sad on 3 April. Following the exhibition, group KAL held concert. The entire event was organised by Novi Sad EU Info Point.

Session titled “Books and Culture as a Gateway to EU”, within which librarians from across Serbia will take part in workshops dedicated to sources of information about the EU and Europeana project, will be held at the National Library of Serbia on Tuesday, 7 April.

The reconstruction of additional 101 houses in Obrenovac, Smederevska Palanka, Čačak, Ub, Koceljeva, Jagodina and Paraćin is underway, due to the European Union support to the most vulnerable families who were not able to rehabilitate their homes, after the floods in May 2014.

EU welcomes and supports the efforts made by the Serbia government to tackle this issue by passing the Law on Weapons and subsequently declaring a legalization campaign. Furthermore, the European Union is supporting the implementation of the legalization campaign with the funds secured through the EU Council Decision 2013/730/CFSP in support of SEESAC disarmament and arms control activities in South East Europe.
