European Commission made a decision on Serbia’s participation in the program of “Creative Europe”, which deals with helping the sectors of culture and creativity and is funded with €1,46 billions.

The European Commission has announced it will give €142 million in humanitarian funds to the Sahel region of Africa in 2014, which is once again suffering because of a severe food and nutrition crisis this year. In addition, many people in Mali are in need of humanitarian aid as a result of the situation in the North.
In total, the European Commission has contributed €845 million to UNICEF in the last seven years across all areas, of which €203.5 million has been spent on education and €52million on child protection projects.
What is needed is a serious engagement by both sides to find a negotiated solution out of the current political crisis. It is the only way to avoid vicious cycles of mutual recriminations. Opposition and protesters must dissociate themselves from radical elements – evacuating the occupied Ministry of Justice on 27 January and Ministry of Agriculture on 29 January is but one example of a responsible attitude on their side.
