Session titled “Books and Culture as a Gateway to EU”, within which librarians from across Serbia will take part in workshops dedicated to sources of information about the EU and Europeana project, will be held at the National Library of Serbia on Tuesday, 7 April.
EU welcomes and supports the efforts made by the Serbia government to tackle this issue by passing the Law on Weapons and subsequently declaring a legalization campaign. Furthermore, the European Union is supporting the implementation of the legalization campaign with the funds secured through the EU Council Decision 2013/730/CFSP in support of SEESAC disarmament and arms control activities in South East Europe.
Through its CARDS and IPA programmes, European Union has invested some €555 million in Serbian energy sector. Energy sector should provide Serbian citizens with safe and reliable supply with energy using environmentally acceptable technologies with increased energy efficiency and high share of renewable sources.
According to FoNet news agency, European Bank for Construction and Development (EBRD) announced Thursday that it would finance the improvement of Belgrade water supply system through a EUR13 million loan.

As such, it is a crucial element in our OSCE comprehensive security concept.
High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said that Belgrade moved firmly on the EU path and the EU put opening of negotiating chapters high on its 2015 agenda.

Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, will visit Pristina and Belgrade on 26 and 27 March 2015. This will be her first visit to Serbia and Kosovo since she has taken over her post.
