Bujanovac, 30 January 2014 – Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, Ambassador Michael Davenport today has handed over certificates (ISO 9001) for Quality Management System QMS and (ISO 14001) Environmental Management System (EMS) to the president of Bujanovac municipality Nagip Arifi.

Chapter 15 in the negotiations with the EU, concerning energy, is very demanding and the Government of Serbia will have to adopt and implement Energy Strategy in line with and according to deadlines of the Energy Community Treaty; this was said at the Closing conference of the Slovakia-Serbia Twinning project for the capacity building for the Energy Agency.
Main emphasis of Exchange 4 programme, €5.8 million worth, aiming at contributing to reforms at local level, is on things that will be challenge for local self-governments in the EU accession process, it was said at the contract signing ceremony.
Meeting with leaders of Bujanovac, Preševo and Vranje, and Ambassador will hand over certificates to Bujanovac municipality for Quality Management System and Environmental Management System and he will deliver medical equipment for out-of-hospital Maternity Unit in Preševo.
Besides meetings with Serbian authorities, a hearing will take place to debate with Serbian civil society organisations.
The objective of this project, funded by the European Union with €1,500,000, was to familiarise the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia with knowledge and experiences of Slovak Regulatory Office for Network Industries in last 20 months.
At the promotion of project and cadastral documentation handing over, scanned cadastral data for municipalities Supkovac, Kosovo Polje and Bandulic, which are covered by the pilot project funded by the EU with three million EUR, were handed.
