The European Council agreed to propose Jean-Claude Juncker to the European Parliament as candidate for President of the European Commission. In this context, it agreed the strategic agenda of key priorities for the next five years. It invited the EU institutions and the Member States to fully implement these priorities in their work.
The European Union has signed separate Association Agreements with Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, which President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy called “milestones in the history of our relations and for Europe as a whole.”

In most European countries there are more offenders on alternative sanctions than prisoners, and it is hoped that Serbia will achieve a similar balance by the end of 2016. Persons who have been punish up to three years in prison or those who have outstanding fines that cannot or do not want to pay, may be sent on this type of execution. As a member of the Council of Europe and as part of the EU accession process Serbia is committed to developing a range of non-institutional measures and sanctions.
