Important role of youth in EU accession process

Deputy Head of the EU Delegation Oskar Benedikt called on young people in Serbia to take an active part during their country’s EU accession process. Addressing the participants of “Youth and European Integration” Info Day, held at the Centre for the Promotion of Science, Benedikt said that European Union enabled its citizens to move and find employment freely which were among the advantages taken mostly by young people.

European Commission is partner of Serbia: Hahn

In his first visit to Serbia as the European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn said his goal was to prepare the country for full EU membership, “not only to transpose the acquies into the national regulation” but “to push and promote its economy” and implement the laws. Serbia should see the European Commission as its partner, Hahn said, vowing to work hard towards “the final goal that Serbia joins the EU as soon as possible.”

Hahn, Mogherini with Dacic on Serbia’s progress towards EU, Kosovo talks and foreign policy

The European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Federica Mogherini discussed in Brussels with Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić Serbia’s progress in EU accession process, a need to further normalise ties with Kosovo, but also a necessity that Belgrade aligns its foreign policy with the EU.
