International donors’ conference for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia after the floods

Under the motto “Rebuilding together”, the European Commission will host a donors’ conference in Brussels on 16 July to mobilise further support to Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the aftermath of the recent floods. The aim of the conference will be to collect pledges from donors for the countries’ recovery. The conference will also contribute to stepping up co-operation over floods and natural disasters in the region, as well as operational coordination. The conference will be co-organised with France and Slovenia.

EU in Serbian libraries

The EU Delegation to Serbia will grant National Library of Serbia (NBS) with five printed copies and one digital copy of each of the new books or brochures produced as part of the Delegation’s information and communication activities, so as to provide citizens with accurate and timely information regarding the European integration process. Funding permitting, the Delegation will grant the National Library of Serbia additional copies of publications that it will distribute to the libraries throughout Serbia.

EU shares experience with Serbia on combating youth unemployment

Serbia has to find its own way to fight youth unemployment, but the European Union and its Member States will share their experience so to help it along the way, participants of the Workshop on Youth Employment Initiatives were told as they gathered to discuss how to combat the youth unemployement in Serbia that has already exceeded 50 percent.
