This week, representative offices of Germany, Hungary and Bulgaria were venues of the “Open Doors” event, within which the EU Member States’ embassies host students and high school pupils, bringing them closer to the countries they represent.

The EU Member States ambassadors, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport, Serbian Minister and Provincial Secretary of Culture Ivan Tasovac and Slaviša Grujiæ, visited Thursday the town of Bač, where several EU-funded projects were being carried out, including the setting up of an open museum, a unique cultural complex around Serbia.

EU Members States’ ambassadors to Serbia, Head of the EU Delegation Ambassador Michael Davenport, Minister of Culture and Information Ivan Tasovac and Provincial Secretary for Culture and Information Slaviša Grujić will visit the municipality of Bač on Thursday 29 May 2014, where they will talk to municipal authorities and tour several EU-funded cultural projects.
Representatives of municipalities and towns took part in a working meeting organised by the project We are Here Together – European Support for Roma Inclusion, funded by the European Union and implemented by the OSCE Mission to Serbia.

The closing day of Europe film festival will be held on Saturday, 24 May. Swedish Avalon is the first to be projected at 13:00. At 15:00, audience will have an opportunity to see the Croatian movie Hives, whereas at 17:00 begins the projection of The Four Times, internationally co-produced between Italy, Germany, and Spain.
Harmonisation of Serbian standards with the EU ones in the area of veterinary medicine will reduce the risk of animal transmitted diseases, increase food safety for Serbian consumers and enhance export possibilities for Serbian food producers, officials said at the presentation of the EU-funded projects at the Novi Sad International agricultural fair.

Eleven experts from throughout Serbia joined on Wednesday, May 14 the Team Europe that marked first anniversary of its work and discussed various methods in which experts from different fields can bring Serbian citizens closer to the idea of European integrations and the EU accession process.

“EU Spring School 2014” youth exchange has been successfully completed in Šuplja stena near Belgrade. Sixty young people from 12 countries, both EU Member States and the region, spent eight days (3-10 May) learning about the EU structure and institutions, youth engagement and active role in decision-making processes, as well as about the concept of European citizens’ activism.
