Reconstruction process on houses for 546 families in 21 municipalities mostly affected by the floods started this week. The reconstruction, funded by EU with over five million euros, is being conducted in phases according to the plan respecting priorities, so the construction works may start in some houses earlier than in the others.
How are the waste batteries and accumulators managed in the EU Member States and how to deal with it in Serbia were the topics of a workshop held within EU-funded PLAC project aimed at supporting Serbia’s preparation for EU accession by improving policy and legislation processes.
EU’s High Representative for foreign policy and security Federica Mogherini hailed an initiative of German and British foreign ministers aimed at resuming reforms in Bosnia in order to further proceed on its EU path. The idea will be discussed at the next Foreign Affairs Council on 17 November, while Mogherini plans to visit Sarajevo at the earliest to talk to the new leadership on the way forward.

Within the European Union program supporting recovery of floods affected areas in Serbia, Danish Refugee Council (DRC), together with co-applicant ENECA will facilitate in this phase the reconstruction of 43 individual housing objects affected by recent floods, the installation of nine prefabricated units for the families most severely hit by floods in Paracin. The value of the works is more than EUR 365.000.
