There is no doubt Serbia has a Government fully committed to EU accession and achieving this goal as soon as possible, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Ambassador Michael Davenport said in an interview with FoNet, adding that European Commission stands ready to support Serbia in implementing all the necessary reforms.

By hosting 65 students from Serbia, the Embassy of France has started the “Open Doors” event, during which the EU Member States’ embassies will open their doors to students and high school pupils, brining them closer to countries they represent.

Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport said technical talks with Belgrade are going according to plan and schedule, noticing that Serbia and EU’s common task should be carried out at full pace.

EU Enlargement Commissioner Štefan Füle reiterated European Union’s determination to embrace Western Balkans and said Serbia-Kosovo accord has proved how important enlargement is for reconciliation in the region. He also called Western Balkans countries to improve business climate thus to open doors for at least €10 billion investments that EU funds aim to attract in order to improve region’s economic development.

Following the meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington EU High Representative Catherine Ashton underlined the need of stabilisation of Ukraine and urged all parties to live up to the Geneva accord.
